Opening the case
-
Turn OFF any power supply to the thermostat. Opening the thermostat enclosure while being powered on may damage the unit.
-
Use 1/16" hexagonal key to make the screw penetrate inside the enclosure and release the bottom-front part of the thermostat.
-
Gently pull bottom-front of the thermostat to release some pressure on the pins from the internal connectors.
-
Pull front enclosure from the top to free the connectors completely.
Installing the thermostat
Mount the thermostat at about 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor and avoid places where it can be disturbed by:
-
Restrained vertical air circulation like behind a door or in a corner.
-
Exposition to warm or chilled air from ventilation ducts.
-
Direct sun radiation or heat from surrounding appliances.
-
Hidden water pipes or chimneys.
-
Do not install on an outside wall.
-
Make sure there is no negative or positive back draft from the wall.
It is recommended to patch the hole in the wall with a non-flammable insulator to avoid air drafts and cause temperature fluctuations.
